It stood up just fine compared to the much more expensive Espring in terms of removing impurities in the drinking water, and the replacement filter is much more reasonable in price.

These counter top systems or filters can be a welcomed addition and a great option for your office, home, school or just about anywhere that you would traditionally find water delivery.

However, for the money, I recommend the Aquasana AQ 4000. The cost is a bargain at $99.99. Furthermore, the replacement filter is reasonably priced. But the most important reason that I recommend the Aquasana, besides overall performance and price, is that the Aquasana is one of the only water filtration models to remove all contaminates, including MTBE. MTBE is short for Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether. MTBE is a colorless toxic and flammable liquid chemical. MTBE filtering does not sound like something you want to overlook when you are looking for your next counter top water filtration system.
